A truck loaded with various items arrived in the Buenos Aires city of Bahía Blanca as part of a solidarity campaign led by Formula 1 driver Franco Colanpinto, along with his father Aníbal, a native of this southern town in the province of Buenos Aires.
The truck arrived at the facilities of Club Liniers, located on Alem Avenue, just a few meters from the National University of the South, an area affected by flooding due to the heavy rains on March 7. Franco Colanpinto, through his social media, joined other athletes and personalities to provide assistance to those affected by the storm.
The driver expressed his special bond with the city and highlighted the solidarity participation of prominent figures such as River Plate defender Germán Pezzela and Inter forward Lautaro Martínez. Additionally, it was announced that the Argentine national team would undertake an important action in the coming days, as reported by AFA president Claudio 'Chiqui' Tapia during a visit to Bahía Blanca.
In addition to the athletes, solidarity exhibits included singer Abel Pintos, comedian and actor Agustín Aristarán, known as Radagast, and actress Rocío Marengo, all originally from Bahía Blanca. In a gesture of additional solidarity, the solidarity train departed from Constitución for the second time, transporting tons of food and cleaning supplies that will be distributed in the city in the coming hours.
Franco Colanpinto, a driver for the Alpine Formula 1 team with family roots in Bahía Blanca, expressed his commitment to the city's reconstruction after the tragedy, highlighting the severity of the situation and his desire to contribute in any way possible. Other sports figures, such as Emanuel Ginóbili, showed solidarity with the situation in Bahía Blanca, recognized as the national basketball capital, showing their support for a swift recovery and return to normalcy.
